
GIS KINDERGARTEN CELEBRATES PARENTS' DAY
The Pre-Primary Parents’ Day of Gulf Indian School was celebrated on 20th February 2020.
The little stars of GIS in their attractive costumes performed with ease, confidence and passion to the delight of the parents and families.

ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET
Gulf Indian School – 26th Annual Athletic Meet
The 26th Annual Athletic Meet of Gulf Indian School was held on Wednesday, 13th November 2019 at Al Sahel Sports Club, Abu Halifa.
The day was bright and the weather was perfect for outdoor sports. The students and teachers of GIS showed up in full attendance on the much awaited sports day.
The events started with a brilliant March Past by the students under their respective House Captains (Sathya, Seva, Jyothi, Santhi).
The Principal Mrs. Shyamala Divakaran in her welcome speech thanked the parents for their presence and constant support and expressed her great appreciation for the P.E. teachers
Mrs. Mariamma Santhosh and Mr. Anup Nair for their relentless effort in training the children. She lauded the students who had secured the 3rd position among the 17 schools that participated
in the CBSE Kuwait Cluster Athletic Meet 2019-2020.
The Manager Mr. Sreekumar Pillai declared the Meet Open.
The individual champions are:
Sub Juniors - Abhinav Anil -Class VI – Sathya House
(Under 12) - Ana Ansar - Class VI – Sathya House
Juniors - Christopher Jose - Class VIII - Seva House
(Under 14) - Annette Radhakrishnan – Class VII – Seva House
Seniors - Vimal Mathew Paul - Class X - Jyothi House
(Under 16) - Tisya Chellapandiayn – Class X – Jyothi House
- Angelina Cibi Daniel – Class IX – Santhi House
Super Seniors - Ron Roy - Class XII – Jyothi House
(Under 19) - Angel Treesa - Class XII – Sathya House
- Agnes George - Class XI – Sathya House
The races conducted for parents and staff making the students turn cheerleaders added fun to the event.
The Best House trophy was awarded to Jyothi House.
The Meet came to an end with the vote of thanks by the Vice Principal Mrs. Kallianikutty Rajan.
